Welcome to Floresta: The Ultimate Plant Celebration

Floresta (translating to "forest" in Portuguese) is Australia’s premier traveling plant fair, proudly presented by the Aroid Society of Australia. Born out of a pure love for foliage, flowers, and the incredible community that grows them, Floresta is more than just a market - it is a vibrant celebration designed to bring people together over a shared green passion.

Whether you are a seasoned collector searching for an elusive, ultra-rare specimen or a novice plant parent looking to start your indoor jungle, Floresta has a place for you. We curate an immersive botanical experience featuring:

  • Australia's Top Specialist Growers: Handpicked sellers showcasing an amazing variety of unique tropical foliage, rare aroids, and unusual plants.

  • Essential Growing Accessories: High-quality potting blends, specialised substrates, and premium plant care to help your collection thrive.

  • Education & Inspiration: Interactive botanical workshops, terrarium building, and educational talks led by industry experts.

  • Botanical Art & Crafts: Beautiful handmade goods, plant-inspired artwork, and biophilic lifestyle products from local makers.

Floresta is on the move! To make rare plants and expert botanical knowledge accessible across the country, we function as a traveling fair. From our successful inaugural launch in Brisbane to the historic halls of Melbourne and Sydney, we bring our unique "party in your plants" directly to different communities across Australia.

At its heart, Floresta bridges the gap between hard-working botanical businesses and the indoor plant community. We provide a rare space where everyday hobbyists can chat directly with the growers, trade care tips, learn the science behind plant nutrition, and buy directly from the people who propagated the plants from seed or cutting.

Strictly Not-for-Profit

Floresta is built by the community, for the community. The entire market is powered by the passion and dedication of volunteer plant lovers from the Aroid Society of Australia. Every smile at the door, every workshop scheduled, and every curated stall layout is managed by volunteers who want to foster a welcoming, inclusive space where the vibes are mint and the love is real.

We are a non-profit initiative dedicated to supporting the plant hobby. Ticket sales and booth fees go straight back into funding future community events, education, and supporting small, independent biophilic businesses. When you attend Floresta, your contribution directly reinvests into growing Australia's vibrant indoor plant community.

We hope that you’re looking forward to Floresta! Just a couple of quick reminders to help the day run smoothly: Entry to the venue is off Old Cleveland Road from the West bound lane. Follow along Main Dr turning left down Pistol Parade where you will see the venue . Parking: please follow the instructions of our volunteers and if you are able body can you please leave the closer spaces for those who require them Please form an orderly line outside of the entrance (under the cover way) with 1 line designated pre purchased ticket holders and 1 line for the on the day sales ASA members will have access from 8AM where as Pre-purchase ticket holders will have access to the venue 15 minutes early (8:15) and general public will have access from 8:30. Online tickets will be available until 7AM the day of the event and tickets can be also purchased in person on the day however they will gain access from 8:30 :) Remember to Pay vendors at their stall as there is no central point of sale Remember to bring a box for you purchases Cash and card (transaction fees may apply for card) will be accepted at each vendor The ASA volunteers will be offering a plant minding area where we will mind a box of your plants for $2.00 or free for ASA members The ASA will also be holding raffles with tickets available for $5.00 each with three awesome prize packs up for grabs A caterer will be on sight with tea, coffee and morning tea/ lunch available for purchase If you have any questions please email events @ aroids.net
