Aroid Society of Australia Inc

2023 Member Only Raffle Terms and Conditions

1. The Member only raffle is being conducted by the Aroid Society of Australia Inc (ASA) (IA56997), an incorporated association in Queensland with its physical address at 581 Whyanbeel road, Whyanbeel 4873. 

2. The total value of prizes is $1,210. The first prize is Anthurium warocqueanum valued at $500. The second prize is Philodendron furcatum valued at $450. The third prize is Philodendron rugosum valued at $200 and the fourth prize is two ASA posters valued and twelve months membership valued at $60. 

3. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.

4. Entrants must be a current financial member of the ASA at the time of ticket purchasing through to and until the conclusion of the drawing of the raffle. 

5. Raffle tickets are $5 each. A maximum of 1300 tickets are offered for sale.

6. The raffle commences on the 21st of September 2023 at 8:00PM and closes on 26th of October 2023 at 7:30pm 

7. Tickets in the raffle are sold by (a) telephone or (b) in person in Queensland by authorised representatives of the ASA.

9. Residents of Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania are eligible to purchase tickets, with the ASA to pay for half of the plant concierge and the ticket purchaser to pay for the other half. 

10. Due to quarantine restrictions on plants, overseas members are ineligible to purchase tickets as prizes cannot be sent outside of Australia. 

11. Any person directly engaged in conducting the draw is ineligible to purchase raffle tickets.

12. Complete entries must include a name and a telephone number.

13. Entries will be sent by SMS or provided in person to entrants after payment is received.

14. The raffle will be drawn on the 26th of  October 2023 at 8pm by the man himself Dr. Tom Croat.

15. Winners will be notified by phone within 5 days of the prize draw, and winners’ details will be published on the ASA’s Facebook ,Instagram, website and January's newsletter titled “Aroida Australis” .

16. The ASA reserves the right to require each winner to submit their ticket stub as proof of identity and purchase. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the sole discretion of ASA.

17. Prizes will be sent to the winner's postal address within 1 month of the prize draw. Once the prize has been sent, the ASA takes no responsibility for any damage or delay or if the prize is lost in transit

19. The raffle hosted by the ASA is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and or Instagram.
