Our Hounds MAX We received a note from a friend that a seven-year-old Grey boy was in need of a new home because his master's new wife didn't want his dogs. How could we say no? Max, who is now 9, is a real sweetie. He is the gentleman of the house. Here he is showing his "good side." |

LIZ We lost our first and oldest Grey, Rocket, in July of 2006. Since we had anticipated this, we adopted Liz in June to fill the hole left by his passing. She is a lovely girl who sometimes tries to be the boss. She has become a real "Daddy's Girl," lying on the couch with her head in Richard's lap. |

CLYDE We adopted Clyde the weekend before Christmas 2006 as a replacement for another older hound who eventually passed away, Sonia. Clyde has an eye condition called pannus, which may eventually cause him to become blind. I've learned that this is somewhat more common in Greyhounds than other breeds. He gets periodic veterinary treatments for his eyes, and on good days he'll let me put some drops in them--if he gets a treat as a reward. |

KELLY After ten years without one, we have another Irish Wolfhound in the house. This is Kelly, a very sweet boy born August 31, 2005. As of January 1, 2007, Kelly is about 33" at the shoulder and weighs about 135 lbs. He likes to sit on the furniture and romp through the house with Clyde, who is closest in age to him. Clyde is 5. |
